The magnetics are permanently sewn in place. In the case of ligaments and tendons,
try to cover the medial, lateral, and anterior or posterior areas surrounding the injury.

For the treatment of old swelling or scar tissue, treat the same as with ligament or tendon injuries.

The BIOflex® magnets may also be used directly on open sores as well as wounds that have been difficult to heal. Please remember that for these cases it is extremely important that the bleeding or hemorrhaging in the area has stopped prior to the application of magnetic therapy.

The magnets are permanently magnetized but they are not indestructible. Chemicals and oils, or the combination of, will destroy the rubber that holds the magnetic particles. X- Ray machines will also destroy the magnetic properties of the magnetic.


How does Magnetic Therapy work?
Unlike normal bar magnets, such as those sold by competitors, BIOflex® Magnets have concentric circles of alternating North and South polarity. This allows for the vascular system to always remain perpendicular to the blood flow, which means that the magnetic field easily penetrates deeply into the tissue which causes an increase in blood flow to facilitate the natural healing process as well as an increase in the removal of toxins from the affected area. Why Static (Permanent) Magnets vs. Electro-Magnetic Therapy?
We chose the static magnet, of less than 1000 gauss, because it was SAFE and effective. When using stronger magnets, we cannot be assured that they are safe on the body (cells) of all animals. We want to remain in a SAFE ZONE for everyone using the product and know that there is no harm being done. In an electro-magnetic field we cannot be assured of this safety. When using an electro-magnetic field, the user can adjust the power in some cases. This might, and could, cause a less than desirable affect on the body (reputed mutation of the cells or the possibility of cancers forming). For these reasons we have chosen the BIOflex® Magnets from Germany from one of the largest and oldest manufacturer of magnetic materials in the world. The magnets are then manufactured into the finished equine products for safe and effective treatment, and quality contributions to equine health.
