Human Applications for Equine Magnetic Therapy BioFlex Magnets

The Biomagnets are designed to be used any time and any place to possibly relieve muscle aches and pains and to relieve tension in your body by improving blood circulation.


The patented, concentric circles of alternating polarity in the BioFlex magnets are designed to influence the blood vessels to dilate and thus to increase blood flow to that area.


Nature's own healing processes are accelerated by increasing the concentration of oxygen and other vital nutrients in that area while simultaneously removing toxic waste products resulting from the injured tissue. Besides blood vessels, neurolymphatics should also be considered as possible sites of application. In many instances, the area where the individual experiences the symptoms is not where the actual problem is. For example, if a muscle becomes hypertonic (spasm) it is likely that there is a weakness of the opposing muscle (antagonist).
**Hints & Cautions
*When using a Biomagnet, place the cloth side against the skin and the gold (Card, Mini and Max) or Velcro (Flex) side away from the skin. If the use is on a curved surface of the body you can warm up the Card and Mini in your hands to make them more pliable and flexible.

*Before using a Card, Mini, Max or Flex, always make certain that the skin where you will be placing the Biomagnet is clean. The cloth pads on the Biomagnets will absorb ointments, rubs, Vaseline or any other surface medication which you may not want on your next use of them. If the Biomagnets are used properly, they will last for many years, and will be of great value to you.

*Biomagnets should never be applied to a fresh wound, sprain or hematoma within the first 24 to 48 hours of its occurrence. Adherence to the acronym RICE (R = Rest, I = Ice, C = Compression, E = Elevation) is the best treatment during this time to reduce swelling. The use of Biomagnets on fresh injuries may result in increased swelling and possibly pain. Also, do not use Biomagnets on open wounds or on areas of infection.

*To keep a Biomagnet in place, use an elastic bandage, an appropriate flexible fabric tape, or paper tape for sensitive skin. Surgical tape is best. Avoid adhesive or Scotch brand tape as these may remove the gold colored surface.

*If using flexible tape to hold a Biomagnet in place, position the tape so that the stretch has the most benefit. When using an elastic bandage, use the type that slips over a limb, not the type that wraps around it. The bandage should be snug without being constrictive or restrictive. To keep a Card, Mini, Max from moving or sliding while being held in place by a bandage, affix a piece of male Velcro to its gold side. The Lumbar Pad comes with Velcro already attached to its rear surface. Note: Be aware that Velcro will tear pantyhose.

*Individuals fitted with cardiac pacemakers, internally placed insulin pumps and/or automatic internal defibrillators should not use any biomagnetic products prior to consultation with their physician.

*Keep Biomagnets away from movement watches (as opposed to quartz or digital watches) and magnetic media such as credit cards, video and audio tapes and computer diskettes. Do not carry any Biomagnets in your wallet or purse as they may alter the magnetic strip on your credit cards making them unusable in bank automatic teller machines (ATMs). When wearing a Flex or using the Car Seat, wallets should be removed from the rear pockets.

#The placement of the Biomagnets is simple. For general pain from sprains or strains, bumps or bruises where you know the source of the pain, place a Biomagnet over the central area of maximum pain or tenderness to increase the blood circulation to that area.

#For specific indications, just review the following recommendations for the area and type of pain. The flexibility of the Biomagnets allows them to fit into everyone's life style with the greatest degree of comfort.

#When you are using multiple Biomagnets it is best to place them side by side rather than stacking them as little advantage is gained by stacking them. The Flex is more effective when used with the wide side at the bottom.
